How does switching via the H.100 bus differ on a Prosody X, Prosody or VoIP card?
Prosody X cards use a different microprocessor to perform switching than the Prosody and VoIP cards. The chip is more effective at switching to TDM lines.
There is a minor difference with the new chip, in that it does not allow an output of one switch connection on the board to be the input of another switch connection on the same board. The practical upshot of this is that you cannot do the following: -
- Switch a call up to the H.100 bus and then switch the same call back down to a resource.
- Output a pattern on an H.100-bus timeslot and use it as an input to a switch connection simultaneously.
