Why are errors reported when I attempt to remove Aculab drivers?

The driver must not be in use when it is being removed, if an application is currently using the driver the uninstall will fail.

Ensure the Event Viewer and other applications that could be using the driver (for example, an application running in V6) are closed before you attempt to re-install.
