Presentation at MWC 2022 - Voice Biometric Technology to Mitigate Fraud
We’re thrilled to announce that our CEO & Managing Director, Dr. Ladan Ravary will be giving a presentation at the Mobile World Congress 2022 on how voice biometrics can be used to mitigate fraud.
Summary:
VoIP is a crucial communications technology in the modern world. The convenience, ubiquity and increasing power of connected mobile devices make them impossible to resist. However the rapidity of change in this field is opening up many new attack vectors to potential fraudsters. The use of biometrics and behavioural analysis is an important part of the defence against fraud and deception in voice communications.
To combat increasingly complex vulnerabilities, it is essential to leverage diverse forms of data when making a decision to accept or reject a claimed identity. Using multiple distinct and independent biometric characteristics, false identity claims can be mitigated and the security of the VoIP channel enhanced.
This principle extends throughout the authentication process, and the talk will describe how multiple interpretations of diverse measurements can provide increased security. The ability to detect potentially fraudulent activity with a fully integrated Presentation Attack Detection (PAD) system can protect businesses from fraudulent claims more effectively.
