2023-12-14 New Aculab v6.8 stripe release for Linux 64-bit OS
Aculab is pleased to announce the release of v6.8 telephony software for Linux 64-bit distributions, following successful QA testingFeatures and enhancements:
- Support for new Prosody X Evo hardware
- Enhance multi-core support for Prosody S
- Cumulative bug fixes and improvements
OS and Virtual environment support
This software release is supported on Linux 64-bit distributions running v4, v5. And v6 kernels.
And on Virtual environments, including VMware (ESXi 6 & 7). Hyper-V, Azure and AWS.
The translation technology is an easy add on, enhancing the existing communication infrastructures for public safety. The technology created is also adaptable to translate a multitude of other languages, making it versatile to enhance and ease multilingual communications in a myriad of other industries.
The combined expertise of Aculab and Convey911, has created a solution that will bridge important gaps in effective communication for emergency response and other critical communication efforts such as 988 the men6tal health crisis hotline for community notification services.

The updated telephony software components, together with release notes, are now available for download via the Aculab installation tool (AIT) which is available on the software downloads page of Aculab’s website: http://www.aculab.com/downloads/
Users of the AIT do not need a password and username to run the installation package and download Aculab software. However, Aculab strongly recommends that users employ a unique, company specific user name and password. Support Information for the old 6.7.1 release
Full support for v.6.7.1 releases is offered to Aculab customers via a support agreement.
Support for customers using version 6.7.1. Software for Linux distributions will continue. During the support period, bug fixes on v6.7.1 software will be processed; however, we will not accept requests for any new functionality on v.6.7.1. All requests for new functionality will be considered for the latest software version only, v6.8.
