What ports should I enable for the ApplianX gateway in my firewall?
ApplianX Mk I gateway
For the Admin interface it’s port 80, and also port 443 for secure traffic (RA units) only.
For the voice ports, firstly you must enable the RTP port ranges, which are 16387 - 17407 and 17411 - 18431. You should also enable your SIP port which by is usually 5060, and 5061 for secure traffic (RA units), but these can be configured so you may have them set to something else. Finally you’ll also need to enable your configured syslog destination port and SNMP destination ports if you have any set up.

The settings are as listed above with the following exception.
The ApplianX Mk II gateway uses the port range 50000-65531 for RTP.
How to tell whether you have a Mk I or a Mk II ApplianX gateway ?
A simple way to differentiate between the two units is that the Mk II has a silver On/Off button on the left hand side of the front panel. The Mk I does not have this button.
