Types Of Account
Aculab Cloud offers three levels of account: Trial, Production and Premium and continues to support Developer accounts. You can upgrade from your initial Trial account to a Production account from the Account upgrade page in the Cloud Console.

When you sign up with Aculab Cloud you get a Trial account. This allows you to place and receive telephone, SIP and WebRTC calls and write applications that interact with those calls.
On a Trial account you get
and you can
- validate 1 number in your country (to receive calls and SMS)
- purchase 1 number in your country (subject to local regulations)
- make outbound calls up to 23c per minute to your validated number
- send SMS/MMS to your validated number
- receive calls and messages on your purchased number
- access Voice Biometrics on a trial basis
- create 5 inbound and 5 outbound services
- access all other Aculab Cloud features
Lifetime:
Trial accounts expire automatically after 1 month, after which your webservices access will be restricted. You will still be able to log on to the Aculab Cloud Console for 4 more weeks. If you wish to continue using Aculab Cloud you can upgrade your account to a production account.
If you choose to upgrade your account in this time then all your services and numbers will be retained and your account will be fully functional once again.
If you do not take any action by this time, you will no longer have access to our Aculab Cloud Console and APIs. Additionally:
- Any services you have set up will be deleted.
- Any purchased phone numbers will be released. There is no guarantee you'll have access to the same number once released.
- Any media files and REST logs will be deleted.
- Any remaining credit will be lost.

A Production account provides full access to all features* and should be used for deploying your finished applications. It is a paid-for account and must be kept in credit to maintain continuous use of Aculab Cloud. You can set up your account to top-up your account balance automatically whenever it falls below a specified threshold. See the Account Credit page in the
Cloud Console
On a Production account you can
- validate unlimited numbers (to receive calls and SMS) [subject to SMS account approval*]
- purchase unlimited phone numbers worldwide (subject to local regulations)
- make outbound calls up to 75c per minute to any number
- send SMS/MMS to any number (subject to local regulations) [subject to SMS account approval*]
- receive calls and messages on your purchased numbers
- create unlimited inbound and outbound services
- enable automated top-up via credit card
- access Voice Biometrics subject to minimum monthly commitment
* please contact us to discuss your SMS requirements.
Lifetime:
We only keep data for as long as necessary and, therefore, if you do not use or access your Aculab Cloud account for 6 months we will delete it. We will email you after the 5th month of inactivity to remind you of this.
If you do not take any action by the end of the 6th month, you will no longer have access to our Aculab Cloud Console and APIs. Additionally:
- Any services you have set up will be deleted and no longer work.
- Any purchased phone numbers will be released and no longer work. There is no guarantee you'll have access to the same number once released.
- Any media files and REST logs will be deleted.
- Any remaining credit will be lost.

A Premium account is much like a Production account but, instead of pay as you go, you are invoiced for what
you use. To request this, please contact us to find out more.

Existing developer accounts are still valid and allow you to place and receive SIP and WebRTC calls, and write applications which interact with those calls.
If you still have a developer account you can upgrade to a Production account from the
Account Upgrade page in the
Cloud Console.
A Developer account comes with:
- Free inbound SIP and WebRTC calls
- Free outbound SIP and WebRTC calls
- Free speech recognition
- Free Text-To-Speech
- 1000 minutes per month of free platform time (speech recognition, TTS and WebRTC calls to/from a cloud IVR service depend on this)
- 1000 webrtc registration tokens per month, with a maximum TTL of 1 hour (WebRTC calls to/from a cloud IVR service and browser-to-browser require these)
